Bioherba's mandarin oil is extracted by cold pressing the peel of the Citrus reticulata fruit, a method that keeps the aromatic substances in their natural form. The result is a bright, sunny oil with a soft citrus character, counted among the most pleasant scents and valued for its cheerful, uplifting aroma.

What it contains

The main carrier of the aroma is limonene. It is the terpene typical of citrus peels that gives the oil its fresh, slightly sweet note. The composition also includes myrcene, gamma-terpinene and small amounts of linalool, while the delicate nuance is rounded out by traces of methyl anthranilate, characteristic of mandarin.

How to use

The product is intended for external use only. To scent a room, add a few drops to an aroma lamp or diffuser. Before any contact with the skin the oil is always diluted in a carrier (base) oil: roughly 3–4 drops per 10 ml of base for the face and 6–9 drops per 10 ml for the body. Do not apply undiluted and do not take internally.

The citrus aroma of mandarin is traditionally used in aromatherapy to create a sense of comfort and a bright mood, as well as a fresh note in homemade cosmetic blends, massage oils and skin-care products.
