Balcho black cumin oil is cold pressed from top grade Nigella sativa seeds, also known as black seed or Roman coriander, after careful selection and fine filtration.
The plant originates in southwest Asia and parts of North Africa and has a long history of use going back to Ancient Egypt, which is also where one of its folk names, pharaoh's oil, comes from.
Taste and characteristics
The oil has a deep dark colour and a strong, slightly pungent scent. It carries fatty acids, calcium, folic acid, niacin, zinc, thiamine, iron and carotene.
How to use it
Use in small amounts, on its own or mixed into honey or tea, as directed on the label or advised by a specialist.
Storage
