Diatomaceous earth (Perma-Guard) is a natural mineral from mineralised freshwater algae, rich in silica, a trace element involved in the formation of connective tissue. It has excellent filtering properties thanks to its negative charge and large surface area (35.7 m² per gram).
Important: the product is a natural mineral and is not a food, medicine or food supplement. In folk medicine it is used to support the condition of the skin, hair and nails. It can also be used externally, as a gentle exfoliant or face mask.
Chemical composition
SiO₂ 92% (amorphous), Al₂O₃ 4.52%, Fe₂O₃/FeO 1.16%, CaO 0.71%, MgO 0.55%, Na₂O+K₂O 0.28%, remainder below 0.05%.
How to use
May be used dissolved in water, usually 1 teaspoon in the morning. Avoid prolonged inhalation of the powder and contact with the eyes. Origin: India.
